When the interview team asked her what she'd like to improve she said she wants to be more beautiful and didn't believe the team when they told her she was (which is a shame because as you can see, she is adorable).
She has one leg that is shorter than the other and has been told she will have to "live with it" in the Ukraine. We have permission to seek out some medical help for her and are hoping to get her a consultation (and possibly and orthotic or shoe lift) while she is here.
Please join us in praying for her in the weeks leading up to her visit. It takes a lot of courage to get on a plane for the first time and come stay with a family you've never met before and who doesn't speak your language.
Please also pray for us as we minister to her in whatever way we can. Meeting her physical needs will be relatively easy and we look forward to helping fulfill some of her physical dreams while she's here, but what we really hope to do is show her lots of love and send her home with a healthy dose of self confidence and a renewed hope for her future.
